Our Day Habilitation program is accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
We create environments that are bright, modern and comfortable, staffed by caring and compassionate professionals.
We’re always looking for new and better ways to help people become more engaged and reach their maximum potential in physical, emotional and social abilities, no matter how significant their medical or therapeutic needs.
Everything we do is tied to an improved living experience and fostering independence. Innovation has been our hallmark since day one, and our list of therapies and activities is long and getting longer all the time.
Ultimately, Day Habilitation focuses on helping each individual overcome the obstacles that interfere with skills and development or stand in the way of their goals. And that’s a big step on the path to independence.
In 1988, Dee came to Community Connections from the Paul A. Dever State School which had offered very limited access to the outside world for people with disabilities.
Dee is an individual with cerebral palsy who attends our Davol Street Day Center where she receives needed therapies and supports.
She operates her own business, Designs by Dee, where in collaboration with our Employment Services, she designs and prints greeting cards and other printed materials.
Through a person-centered approach, we design individualized programs that build on the strengths of the whole person, enabling them to live as independently as possible in their community.
We count on donors like you, so our clients can continue to reach their goals through therapies and activities.
