Marilyn Habercorn - Service Director

In May 2019, Marilyn Habercorn joined Community Connections as Quality Assurance Manager, after moving to Cape Cod from Hartwick, New York (near her hometown of Cooperstown). Marilyn was promoted to Service Director in July 2021.

Marilyn earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York College at Oneonta and spent one year as an exchange student in Chester, England.

With her husband, Joel, Marilyn renovated and ran a “mom and pop” grocery/deli in Hartwick, where she first worked with volunteers from The Arc Otsego. After 10 years in the grocery/deli business, Marilyn made a career change to human services, starting as a Habilitation Assistant at The Arc Otsego, before serving as Case Manager, Interim Site Manager, and finally as Quality Assurance Specialist.

At Community Connections, Marilyn also serves as Human Rights Coordinator, Agency Investigator, and assists with new hire orientation and staff training. In 2020, Marilyn earned the Innovation Award for helping to develop and strengthen our remote services.
