Flower Angels workshop remains closed.

While the Flower Angels can’t meet in the workshop to make flower arrangements, that doesn’t mean they can’t create something beautiful.

Flower Angels volunteers are using any existing materials they have at home to make Caring Cards that let residents of nursing homes and hospices know they are loved and not forgotten.

With a goal of making 700 Caring Cards - up to 1,076 cards and counting - the Flower Angels volunteers have created one homemade card for every resident of the facilities across Cape Cod that used to receive repurposed flower arrangements prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now, Flower Angels is expanding the Caring Cards Project to hospitals in the region.

Community Connections has been a proud supporter of Flower Angels since its inception in 2014.

Today, Community Connections clients from the South Yarmouth program help by:

  • bringing flowers to the Flower Angels workshop
  • participating in flower deliveries to the elderly on Cape Cod who are often overlooked

Flower Angels has benefited greatly from the kindness of others, including floral partners such as Trader Joe’s and Shaw’s Supermarkets as well as many local brides and event planners.
