Donna Sabecky - Board Member

"I am so honored to be a part of the Board of Directors. Volunteering is fun. And seeing firsthand the positive work going on brings me such joy."

Donna Sabecky founded Community Connections in 1985 after an accident required her to use a wheelchair for 6 months. She became aware of the unique needs encountered by people with disabilities and the lack of adequate services to meet those needs. Since then Community Connections has grown to serve 800 clients that receive comprehensive services in day habilitation, life skills, employment and transportation.

She is actively involved in state and federal disability and healthcare policy reform. She sits on several boards; and has held several officer positions with the Association of Developmental Disabilities Providers, Cape Cod Disabilities Network and the Massachusetts Council on Human Service Providers. She regularly meets with government commissioners, state, and federal legislators to discuss disability issues.

Donna is a volunteer board member and Professional Associate at the Gestalt International Study Center. She holds a Master's degree in Business and Industry from Lesley College’s School of Management. Post-graduate studies include Harvard Business School seminars, Gestalt International Study Center Programs, executive management, mediation and negotiation training.
